C’est What?! It’s Been 24 Years Already?
February 13th was a very special day for our friends at C’est What! They have been open in Toronto on 64 Front St. East for a whopping 24 years!
C’est What is in the lovely St. Lawrence Market area. The bar offers pool tables, board games, its own radio station and it even brews its own beer! Some notable creations include their Caraway Rye Beer, Coffee Porter, Homegrown Hemp Ale, Mother Pucker’s Ginger Wheat, Steve’s Dreaded Chocolate Orange and Al’s Cask Ale!
If you thought that was a lot, they also represent 31 beers on draft, many of which are from local breweries such as us! It’s odd to think that they only started out with 8 selections, but really, back then, there wasn’t much choice! Fortunately, as the years went by, the big guys acquired some epic competition from micros! C’est What is definitely feeling the love from the micro-brewery boom!
“Our customers have helped the local brewing industry by consuming somewhere in the order of 2.9 million pints of beer over the years or over thirty-thousand keg parties. To get an idea of how our collective passion for a good pint has grown consider that this past year we sold as much beer as we did in our first three years in business combined.” -C’est What
Stop by! They are open 11:30am to 2:00am, and until 1:00am on Sundays and Mondays!
