Meet our Rep in Ottawa – Andrew Rastapkevicius
Andrew Rastapkevicius (or “Rasta” as he’s known for simplicity) has handled Ottawa and Eastern Ontario for CAMERON’S since spring 2011. Coming from an athletic background as a rower for Queen’s University and the Canadian National Team, he entered the industry 5 years ago as a wine agent where he still lives a dual personality representing both Lifford Wines and CAMERON’S in Ottawa. In his own words: ” Entering the beer industry was a primarily selfish decision for me. As all wine agents know… all we want after a lot of great wine is some really really great beer, so why not sell it too. Enter CAMERON’S Brewing.”
Andrew has helped build CAMERON’S into one of the most sought after brands in our Nation’s Capital, and you can now find it on tap at the city’s top establishments including: Whalesbone Oyster House, Hintonburg Public House, The Black Tomato, Wellington Gastropub, Brother’s Beer Bistro, The Black Thorn, Restaurant 18, Fraser Cafe and Farb’s Kitchen.
When not selling delicious fermented goods, Andrew enjoys international travel exploring the world’s wine regions, running Ottawa’s many trails with his English Spring Spaniel and dining out with his girlfriend. Golf, bacon, scotch, oysters and cigars also figure prominently into Andrew’s favourite vices. But beer is where his interest in alcohol began, and at the end of most days, it is also where it ends. Auburn Ale for President, peace!
