Review: Cameron’s Obsidian Imperial Porter
Toronto, ON – May 23, 2013 Ah, a beautiful, true porter by the looks of her – opaque black with a beige mild head. Rum barrel aged? Oh yes please.
Roasted, chocolate malts and alcoholic notes float up into my ol’ nose peepers. Going down, we have a fairly acidic brew, but in a delightful way – that chocolate malt and rum profile shine on right through. This ain’t no bottom shelf rum barrel – the alcohol of the rum is delectable throughout this brew.
