Cameron’s Bourbon Barrel-Aged Deviator Doppelbock back by popular demand
Oakville, ON – November 5, 2013 – Originally launched last December, CAMERON’S Brewing Company’s is bringing back their popular Deviator Doppelbock, but with barrel-aging philosophy. CAMERON’S Oak-Aged Deviator Doppelbock has been laid down for over six months in oak Kentucky bourbon barrels which add smooth, toasted vanilla notes layered upon a complex, malty body. Doppelbocks are Teutonic-inspired dark lagers that feature imported German malt and were served by the Bavarian monks during times of fasting as “liquid bread”, and perfect for the cold, winter months. The combination of our imported Kentucky bourbon barrels and the Doppelbock is unique; Brewmaster Jason Britton describes the relationship between the oak and the beer as “symbiotic, with a complex give-and-take relationship”.
