For some people summer means two things: beer and golf! While we can’t play golf in the brewery, you can have a beer on the golf course. At Cameron’s Brewing we are working hard to keep the brews flowing and golfers happy!

The Oakville Golf Club – one of the oldest, established golf clubs in the GTA. Located at Sixth Line and Leighland.

Oakville Executive Golf Clubs – two 18 hole courses set around the picturesque valley of Sixteen Mile Creek. At Lower Base and Fourth Lines.

Trafalgar Golf & Country Club – recently renovated all 18 greens to create a fun and challenging course. At the corner of Derry Road and Sixth Line.

Join us today at Hip Restaurants’ West 50 Pourhouse and Grille located at 50 Burnhamthorpe Road West in Mississauga, for Beerstock, their inaugural tribute to the golden beverage! Starting at 4:00 and continuing until 11, you can sample close to 50 brands from Ontario Craft Brewers to beers from around the globe. Your $20 entry gets you a tasting glass and some tokens to get you started. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Mississauga Humane Society.

Cameron’s Brewing will be there sampling our award winning Auburn Ale and Lager!

Cameron’s and 3S’s on the Patio!

This Friday starting at 6 pm Oakville celebrates the town with another Midnight Madness! Come down and stroll Lakeshore Road which will be closed to traffic  from Allan to Navy, until midnight.

Make sure to make time for a stop at The 3S’s patio where they will be serving cold, delicious Canadian Brewing Awards Gold Medalist Cameron’s Cream Ale from their draught tap. Our Auburn Ale, a Silver Medal Award winner will be available by the bottle!

 Midnight Madness, one of the largest shopping and entertainment events of the year in Downtown Oakville, is celebrating is 33rd year in 2010.

Catch a performance on one of the stages, enjoy the shopping deals from many of the retailers, and sit and enjoy a great meal at many of the downtown restaurants.

There are plenty of family activities as well such as bouncy castles, face painting and crafts.

The Golden Tap Awards are coming!!!

The Golden tap Awards celebrate the best pubs, breweries, beers and brewpubs in Ontario.   At the awards ceremony they will be showcasing the best beer Ontario has to offer.  Cameron’s wants to be there.  Cameron’s SHOULD be there.  We can only get there one way though.  You have to vote for us.  Vote for Cameron’s as the best brewery and vote for Cameron’s Auburn Ale as the best Craft beer.  To vote go to www.goldentap.com .

Session, A Craft Beer Festival – June 26th

A one day Craft Beer Festival devoted to sampling Craft Beer, local food and great music.  This is going to be an amazing show that we’re proud to be supporting in it’s first year at Sunnyside Pavilion.  This is also the final day of Ontario Craft Beer Week.

Another great “Let’s Drink The Cask Night” night is in the books and a great one it was.  Live Music from our friend Gitch, a visit from the Mayor of Oakville and we even had  Michael Hancock of Denison’s stop by to check out our first attempt at a Wit Beer.   Of course it wouldn’t be complete without great food and stepping up to the plate in June were our friends from Vibrant Farms who were grilling up some fantastic burgers with tasty sides from Oakville’s premier grocery experience providers, Whole Foods Market.  Off to Oliver and Bonacini Cafe Grill for the Patio After Party.

Make sure you join us for the July “Let’s Drink the Cask Night” featuring smoked delights from the fine folks at The Big Smoke.

We opened our doors at noon this past Sunday so fathers could come by with their families and get a sweet tour, learn how beer is made, sample our premium beer and have a burger.  Well we were a little surprised when at 12:01 people were flooding in.

Some people got to take private tours while others got a hands on interactive group tour with our very own Brewmaster Jason Britton.  James actually got to work doing everything from grinding up the barley to filtering in a miniaturized brewing process.  The audience actually got to see every step of the how beer is made being done right in front of them.

The children were having a blast running around and playing enjoying some food and then cooling down after with a nice cold Freezie or “sugar pop” as our good man Arron says.  Jim was having a blast serving up burgers to our guests while Jason and his Father were busy trying to keep up with the orders.We hope everyone had a good time and dads got to relax.

Wow what a great time we had.  Three days of beautiful weather.  Thousands of happy people.  Great music.  Wonderfully organized.  We just want to thank everyone who came by our booth and the fine people who helped the entire event be the success that it was.  Scott, Emma, Jason, Alex, Tyler and Travis are just some of the few who helped make our brief stay at the Distillery District as easy and fun as it was.  Your hard work does not go unnoticed.

This event starts tomorrow and Friday at 6:00pm and ends at 11:00 pm.  Saturday has two sessions one from 12:00pm til 5:00pm and another from 6:00 till 11:00pm.

So it appears I’m the only one who took my advice and gave their mother a keg for Mother’s Day.  Due to her reaction I can see why more people didn’t do the same.

In an effort to not distance both of my parents I sought out some advice from my friends.  The reaction I have received has been pretty much the same across the board:

Cameron’s should host another Father’s Day BBQ!!

On Sunday June 20, Cameron’s will be hosting our Second Annual Father’s Day BBQ.    Well made food and well crafted beer are the perfect gift for dad.  Just don’t tell him there is no cover charge to come in or he might tear up with pride. Stating at noon there will be food, drink, fun and games for people of all ages. Bring the little ones down if you wish.
