Meet Robbie Levin – Sales Representative, Mississauga, Oakville, Hamilton, Burlington
“Laughter is the one thing in my life I do not take in moderation.”
When asked about the most rewarding aspect of his job, Robbie Levin is quick to say that he loves to help people create new experiences with beer and he enjoys seeing people drinking “good beer” or in other words made from natural ingredients and crafted with passion, it’s “Priceless”, he says.
“One thing people don’t know about me is that I’m a Type 1 diabetic, so I have to closely manage my diet and carefully look after my health. But laughter is the one thing in my life I do not take in moderation,” says Levin with a grin.
When he is not burning around in his orange Cameron’s truck calling on his loyal customers west of the GTA, Robbie loves to hang with his family and pets. “I can typically be found at a dog park at least one weekend day, otherwise find me flying my kite in a park!”
Robbie’s perspective on the explosion of the craft beer market is quite unique. He believes there are multiple contributing factors including a change in drinking patterns. “There is no one reason for a movement like this to be happening. It is people deciding they don’t just want to drink mass-produced, tasteless beer. People now are willing to pay a bit more and perhaps drink a bit less to enjoy what they are consuming,” he adds.
“I also like to keep an eye on the beer style trends. I think the fads will come and go, there will be a lot more red ales in the market and a lot less IPAs. Sours are the next big thing, just look to the West to see what is coming here over the next five years.”
